Old City is a popular neighborhood located within Center City, Philadelphia.The Old City district covers several blocks between Front and Sixth Streets, bounded by Vine Street to the north and Walnut Street to the south. Old City is known for being one of the most culturally and historically rich districts of Philadelphia, and also a happening nightlife destination for many young adults.
Old City is home to many of Philadelphia’s favorite tourist attractions. A few of the historic sites that are located here include Elfreth’s Alley, Betsy Ross House, Christ Church, Franklin Square and the U.S. Mint.

The first Friday of every month, Old City features an “open house” hosted by many neighborhood art galleries. Browse through over 40 art galleries as you view work from some of Philadelphia’s up and coming artists. Most of the art galleries are open from 5-9pm.
